Q: What are common problems that children are seen for in therapy?
A: Anxiety, aggression, persistent sadness and tearfulness, difficulty making friends, or traumatic events.
Q: What types of therapy are available? A: Family, individual, group, and play therapy. EMDR (Eye-Movement-Desensitization-Reprocessing). .
Q: What types of payment do you accept? A: Cash, check, credit cards.
Q: What if I have insurance? A: Call your insurance before the first appointment to obtain authorization for mental health services. Q: What should I expect the first appointment?
A: Plan to arrive 15-20 minutes to complete the necessary information to start services. Plan to pay any co-pay, deductible, or other charges not covered by your insurance. The therapist will meet with you to review issues leading to seeking counseling, set goals for treatment, and make recommendations as to what mode of therapy is best suited for your situation (e.g. individual, family, group, play therapy).
